Deus, qui ineffábili providéntia beátum Joseph sanctíssimæ Genitrícis tuæ sponsum elígere dignátus es: præsta, quæsumus; ut, quem protectórem venerámur in terris, intercessórem habére mereámur in cælis: Qui vivis et regnas cum Deo Patre in unitáte Spíritus Sancti, Deus, per ómnia sæcula sæculórum.

O God, Who in Thy wondrous providence didst vouchsafe to appoint blessed Joseph to be the spouse of Thy most holy Mother: grant, we beseech Thee; that we who reverence him as our patron on earth, may be worthy of his intercession in heaven. Collect in Honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary:
.
Concéde nos fámulos tuos, quæsumus, Dómine Deus, perpétua mentis et córporis sanitáte gaudére: et, gloriósa beátæ Maríæ semper Vírginis intercessióne, a præsénti liberári tristítia, et ætérna pérfrui lætítia.

The Epistle of Saint George, Martyr.
.
2 Tim 2:8-10; 3:10-12.
.
.
Beloved: Remember that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and was descended from David; this is my Gospel, in which I suffer even to bonds, as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound. This is why I bear all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with heavenly glory. But you have closely followed my doctrine, my conduct, my purpose, my faith, my long-suffering, my love, my patience, my persecutions, my afflictions; such as befell me at Antioch, Iconium and Lystra - such persecutions as I suffered, and out of them all the Lord delivered me. And all who want to live piously in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

The Greater Alleluia:
.
Ps. 88: 6
.
Allelúja, allelúja. Confitebúntur cæli mirabília tua, Dómine: étenim veritátem tuam in ecclésia sanctórum.
.
Alleluia, alleluia. O Lord, the very heavens shall confess Thy wondrous works; and Thy truth in the congregation of the saints.
.
Ps. 20: 3
.
Allelúja. V. Posuísti, Dómine, super caput ejus corónam de lápide pretióso. Allelúja. Allelúja.
.
V. Thou hast set a crown of precious stones upon his head. Alleluia.

The Gospel.
John 15 : 1-7
.
Mane te in me: et ego in vobis. Sicut palmes non potest ferre fructum a semetípso, nisi mánserit in vite: sic nec vos, nisi in me manséritis. Ego sum vitis, vos pálmites: qui manet in me, et ego in eo, hic fert fructum multum: quia sine me nihil potéstis fácere.
.
In that time, Jesus said to His disciples: I am the true Vine; and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me, that beareth not fruit, He will take away: and every one that beareth fruit, He will purge it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now you are clean by reason of the word, which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abide in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the Vine: you the branches: he that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing. If any one abide not in Me, he shall be cast forth as a branch, and shall wither, and they shall gather him up, and cast him into the fire, and he burneth. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you will, and it shall be done unto you.

Ps. 88: 6

The Secret of the Solemnity of the Patronage of Saint Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary:
.

Who livest and reignest with God the Father, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end.

Preface of Saint Joseph:
.
.
It is very meet, right, and our bounden duty, that we should at all times, and in all places give thanks unto Thee, O Lord holy Father almighty, everlasting God. And that on the Festival of Joseph the blessed, we should praise, bless, and tell forth Thy wonders; who being a righteous man was espoused to the Virgin Mother of God by Thine appointment; a faithful and wise servant, made ruler of Thy household; that in the office of a father he should guard Thine only-begotten Son, conceived by the overshadowing of the Holy Ghost, even Jesus Christ our Lord. Through Whom the angels praise, the dominations adore, the powers, trembling with awe, worship Thy majesty: which the heavens, and the forces of heaven, together with the blessed seraphim, joyfully do magnify. And do Thou command that it be permitted to our lowliness to join with them in confessing Thee and unceasingly to say:
