O God, Thou didst call Saint Paul the First Hermit to renounce the honors of this world by fleeing into the desert there to spend the rest of his life in contemplation on Thy Holy Name. Through his intercession, may we despise all earthly desires and seek love eternal alone.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who livest and reignest with Thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
